The Story behind our Campfire Candle

My relationship with MS began when my Mom was diagnosed, almost 30 years ago. I was only 5 years old at the time so I didn’t really understand what this meant. Here we are 30 years later, my Mom’s MS has progressed significantly and it’s only gotten more difficult to watch. She continues to fight everyday, like she always has, which is why my family and I are so passionate about the fight to end MS.
 

As a child, the MS Society of Canada made contributions to send me to a couple of Summer Camps. Looking back at this, I am able to appreciate this gesture even more so. How kind and thoughtful this was for an organization to choose to contribute to; not only someone fighting MS, but to their family. That shows true compassion and understanding.
 

The Campfire Candle is for my Mom. Not only do I have fond memories with my Mom around a campfire growing up, but she is the one who sparked my love for candles. We would make trips to the local candle store together and come home to enjoy our spread of beautifully scented candles. What better way to raise awareness and say thank you to the MS Society of Canada, for all they’ve done over the years for my Mom and our family. 
 

Mom, you are the strongest and most courageous person I know. You have fought for us every single day for the last 30 years. You are a true inspiration and are loved and supported more than you know.
